We are pleased to recognize Swarn Gaba and Vedika Halwasiya, the first two students to complete the Dual Master of Science in Data Science and Applied Statistics.
This dual degree program is a collaborative effort between the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering and the College of Arts + Sciences. It is designed for students who seek to combine computational expertise with a deep understanding of statistical theory.
The path to this dual degree requires a high level of dedication. These students completed their initial year of foundational coursework in the Luddy School before applying to the joint program. Their successful completion of the requirements for both degrees demonstrates a strong command of two distinct yet complementary fields.
By bridging the gap between data science and applied statistics, these graduates have gained a comprehensive toolkit for tackling complex data challenges.
