Minor in Statistics

The minor requires at least 15 credit hours (19–21 credit hours with the Addenda Requirement), including the requirements listed below.

• Introductory Course. One (1) of the following options (a or b):
  1. Statistical Literacy. One (1) course from the Statistical Literacy list.
  2. Introduction to Statistics. One (1) course from the Introduction to Statistics list.
• Statistical Inference. One (1) course from the Statistical Inference list.
• Data Modeling and Inference. One (1) course from the Data Modeling and Inference list.
• Advanced Electives. One (1) of the following options (a or b):
  1. Statistics Electives. Two (2) courses from the Statistics Electives list.
  2. Statistics Elective + Free Elective. Both of the following:
     1. Statistics Elective. One (1) course from the Statistics Elective list.
     2. Free Elective. One (1) course from the Free Elective list.
• Addenda Requirement*. One (1) of the following options (a or b):
  1. Finite + Brief Survey of Calculus.
     1. Finite Mathematics. One (1) course from the Finite Mathematics list.
     2. Brief Survey of Calculus. One (1) course from the Brief Survey of Calculus list.
  2. Calculus II. One (1) course from the Calculus II list.
